The foundation of hemp-lime blocks is paired with shelving, seating and counters made from reused wood that once served as the flooring in the Nicolai church located a few kilometers from the store in central Copenhagen. ⁡

All the old floorboards had most of the hand-forged nails removed, were planed, treated with hard wax oil and joined without any adhesives. ⁡

This process reduces the need for new resources and enables future reuse, while also enriching the space’s atmosphere with a textural depth impossible to reproduce with virgin materials. ⁡
